I make about a million variations of mushrooms + rice for dinner in our house. I like to try and pair the mushroom with the variety of rice along with whatever else is apart of our meal & drinks that day.
The rich, nutty flavors of Blue Foot mushrooms pairs well with the textures of wild rice. I added jasmine rice, a dash of quinoa, and some sliced shitakes, too. Occasionally our meals are dairy free, so I added nutritional yeast with olive oil instead of parmesan cheese and butter. This edition of Blue Foot mushroom wild rice pilaf was also seasoned with fresh ground black peppercorns and pink Himalayan salts!
